How do I reach law enforcement in case of an incident?
All Flagler County emergency services use the same dispatch system, which is operated by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. When calling the Flagler County Dispatch Non-emergency Line at (386) 313-4911 or 911, a dispatcher will confirm the location and send the appropriate Police, Fire, and/or EMS service. Flagler County has three law enforcement agencies: the Bunnell Police Department (BPD), the Flagler Beach Police Department (FBPD), and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). The BPD and the FBPD are responsible for matters within the city limits of their respective cities. The FCSO is responsible for all other areas outside of those city limits, also known as unincorporated Flagler County. The City of Palm Coast contracts with the FCSO to provide enhanced primary law-enforcement services. There are addresses in Bunnell and Flagler Beach that are not located within the limits of those cities. As a result, whenever an incident occurs at one of those addresses, the FCSO has primary responsibility and is dispatched. All our police and fire agencies operate under a Mutual Aid Agreement, assisting one another as needed. On occasion, you may see a Bunnell or Flagler Beach police vehicle alongside a FCSO vehicle. We work well together and share a unified desire to reduce crime, the fear of crime, and support each other and the community in those efforts.
