Code Enforcement Board

The Code Enforcement Board (CEB) is enabled by Article V of the City of Bunnell Code of Ordinances, and focuses on enforcing property maintenance, zoning requirements, and related provisions of the City of Bunnell Land Development Code. The CEB consists of five (5) appointees that must be residents of the City of Bunnell. The purpose of the CEB is to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Bunnell. The CEB has the following powers and duties:

Impose administrative fines and other non-criminal penalties to provide an equitable, expeditious, effective and inexpensive method of enforcing any codes and ordinances in the City, where a pending or repeated violation continues to exist.

Forward to the City Commission for general consideration, any matter, request, suggestion or concern of the Board.

Subpoena alleged violators and witnesses to the Board’s hearings and subpoena evidence and take testimony under oath. To decide whether or not a violation of the Land Development Code (LDC) has occurred.

Issue orders having the force of Law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a violation of the LDC under compliance.

CEB Meeting Schedule

The Code Enforcement Board meets at 6:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month.  Currently, the Code Enforcement Board is meeting every other month; however, additional meetings can be scheduled as needed. Check the Agendas section of this website for current agenda and for notices of canceled meetings.
