I am grateful and excited for this opportunity to serve my neighbors here in Bunnell as one of your commissioners.  I work diligently to make sure our tax dollar is used in the most cost-effective way.

We all deserve a city we can be proud of.  We need a city that is moving forward and ready to face the challenges to come. I will work to protect and secure Bunnell’s future by ensuring we have the infrastructure needed for the challenges of growth ahead.  Making policy and upholding our city charter is an integral part of my job as commissioner.

I have served the citizens of Bunnell as a member of the Code Enforcement Board for Bunnell, been active with the Flagler Historical and Flagler Preservation Society and volunteered at numerous activities with my church.  I am a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary to Post 889.  I have always believed that service to humanity is the best work of life.   

Being your commissioner is more than just attending two meetings a month. As your Commissioner I have represented our city at monthly meetings as a board member on the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) and as a board member at The Family Life Center.  I participated in the Florida League of City training and attended their four-day annual meeting. I must take annual mandatory training classes in ethics, civics, security training, and I keep up with the Legislative agenda. There are all-day planning sessions such as the annual Advance where we plan the year out for our city and quarterly meetings on the Community Redevelopment Agency board. I participate in community events that the city puts on such as the MLK Day event, Halloween in Bunnell, Christmas in Bunnell, and more.

I am happy to serve my community and appreciative that I have a very understanding employer who allows me to take several days off from work each month to participate in everything that needs to be done as a commissioner. On average I spend about 15 hours a week as your commissioner.

I am married to the love of my life John and together we are the parents of three adult children. Sadly, our only son preceded us in death in 2017.  We have three grandchildren, and we also have fur babies at home.
