Make Lake Lucille Bright!! 2023 Holiday Contest

Bunnell [October 3, 2023]- LIGHT UP LAKE LUCILLE!!! The City of Bunnell announced its community contest for the 2023 Holiday Season last week. Registrations and inquires are coming in already. Space is limited to 10. Register before it is too late.
This contest is open to residents, businesses and organizations. There is no cost to participate in the contest; however, entrants do provide their own tree and decorations. Other rules and guidelines also apply and can be located in the registration packet (included in this announcement on the City website). Entrants MUST pre-register with the City Clerk Office and trees be set up by November 27, 2023.
Trees will be displayed at the front of Lake Lucille right along South State Street. Trees will remain on display through the holiday season.
Categories for the contest are the following:
- Best in Show
- Most Creative
- Most Elegant
- Most Christmasy (Most Christmas Spirit)
- Best Children’s Display
- Best Display of Bunnell (Characteristics, History, etc.)
- Most Consistent Theme (all decorations follow the same theme)
- Griswold Award (LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS!!!!!!)
- Most Traditional Tree
- People’s Choice (will be awarded through most “likes” on the Facebook post of all trees; counted on December 7, 2023)
Awards will be presented at the December 11, 2023 Commission Meeting.
