Local State of Emergency Extended

October 4, 2022 - The City of Bunnell has extended the declaration for a local state of emergency.

Over the next couple of weeks, you will see the City Solid Waste Department out picking up debris from streets, residential properties and commercial properties.  In accordance with extension of the local state of emergency, you will not be charged any fees for the pick up of the excess debris or disposal of bulks items damaged during the storm.  This grace period is through October 14, 2022.  We encourage you to get yard debris and bulk items out for regular scheduled days; however, because of the amount of debris, please recognize that it may take a day or two to get to the piles.  Rest assured, the City will get to the piles.

Flagler County is reminding residents that individuals and households in the county can apply for FEMA Individual Assistance, which may include temporary housing assistance, basic home repairs and certain other uninsured disaster-related needs.

Survivors can apply for disaster assistance at www.disasterassistance.gov, by calling 800-621-3362 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time, or by using the FEMA mobile app. If you use a relay service such as video relay service (VRS), captioned telephone service or others, give FEMA the number for that service.
