Bunnell City Manager to be Inducted into Lake County Schools Hall of Fame

Dr. Alvin B. Jackson Jr.

Bunnell, FL (February 26, 2024) – On Tuesday, March 5, Lake County Schools will welcome its newest class of Alumni Hall of Fame inductees at their Night of Stars event hosted by the Education Foundation of Lake County. Among those inductees is Bunnell’s very own City Manager, Alvin B. Jackson, Jr.

The Lake County Schools Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 2016 to honor their graduates who have built on what they learned as a Lake County Schools student and have distinguished themselves through outstanding personal and professional accomplishments.

Dr. Alvin B. Jackson, Eustis High School Class of 1979, has been a community leader for several decades and has been serving as the Bunnell City Manager since October 1, 2018.

While serving as the Director of Human Services for the City of Eustis, Dr. Jackson initiated a day in Tallahassee for the city. It later became Lake County Day in Tallahassee, a time for County leaders to meet with lawmakers to discuss local priorities. He is also well known for using his organization and mobilization skills to help turn 750 acres of discarded orange groves into a thriving industrial park. He is also the author of the inspirational leadership book, “It’s Another Great Day!”.

The City of Bunnell is honored to have Dr. Jackson as our City Manager and proud of the honor he will be given by Lake County Schools. It is Dr. Jackson’s creative and innovative thinking which, in our opinion, has put him in a class of his own; we are lucky to be on the receiving end of his creativity and innovation.
