Special FP&L Assistance for Seniors.

Please be advised that eligible seniors now qualify for $2,000 commitments toward their FPL bills. This is an increase from the norm and a rare opportunity for seniors to catch up.

Please encourage those seniors that you may encounter with large outstanding bills to call Senior Services to learn if they meet the eligibility criteria. Paperwork is required to qualify.

Covid Rent and Mortgage Assistance Through SHIP

Flagler County Housing Services announces the availability of temporary rent or mortguage and utility assistance through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP).

Applicants must:

  1. Be a Flagler County residents
  2. Have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 pandemic
  3. Must have moderate income of less, based on Flagler County's Area Median Income (AMI).  Priority will be given to households meetng low-income criteria prior to the pandemic.

This assistance is available only during the federal or state disaster declaration for COVID-19.

Flagler Free Clinic

The Flagler County Free Clinic will re-open for new patient registration on Monday, May 18.  We will be open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM for registration; after being qualified as a patient an appointment with one of our volunteer providers will be made for a future date.  The free clinic staff will schedule appointments according to the specific need of each new patient (i.e. medication needed, recent hospitalization or emergency department visit). Please note that the clinic does not test for or treat COVID-19.  There are no fees or charges for the services of the Free Clinic.

No appointment is necessary to register as a patient of the Flagler Free Clinic.

The Flagler Free Clinic is a 501C3 non-profit organization established in 2005 to serve the medical needs of the uninsured, low-income, and unemployed members of our community.  We are able to provide these services thanks to the efforts of one hundred community volunteers, private sector donors, grants, and fund-raising events.  In 2019 the clinic provided over two million dollars’ worth of free services to our patients.
