Solid Waste Hauling

The Solid Waste Department is staffed with 3 employees.  These 3 employees ensure all residential and commercial routes are run each week.  The department rarely stops running, even on City observed holidays.  The dedicated staff of the Solid Waste Department continues to do its best to provide high levels of service to both residential and commercial properties even as the tonnage and yardage being collected each fiscal year continues to rise.

Residential routes receive 2 solid waste, 1 recycling, 1 yard waste and 1 bulk pick up each week; this is the opportunity for 5 pick ups from a residential house every week.

Commercial accounts have the opportunity to be picked up once, twice or three times per week depending on the level of service paid for when the utility account is established.

There are 2 solid waste trucks and 1 claw truck in the Solid Waste fleet.  Solid Waste trucks run 5 days a week and the claw truck can run as often as needed, but generally is used for yard waste and bulk pickups.
