Bunnell, FL (April 29, 2020) When the City of Bunnell adopted it’s first ever Strategic Plan, the City identified the need to use technology and increase its technology to improve level of services and communicate: “The City of Bunnell plans to continue to make strides in staying current in the world’s changing technologies. The City will make continual efforts to maintain, improve and expand our use of technology to enhance our level of services, customer service and transparency. We will utilize our social media in an appropriate manner to reach our citizens and stakeholders.”

For years, a brand-new, mobile friendly, user friendly and ADA compliant website has been a desire of the City but has been a project that never got through budget cuts. In December this changed. The City was offered a very good deal; one that could not be passed up. As a result, the City Commission authorized the purchase of services for a website redesign through CivicPlus.

Over the past four months, Senior IT Analyst Donnie Wines has been heading a workgroup to totally revamp and revise the City’s website. This group has worked to ensure the City presents information on the new platform in a way that is easily accessible, user friendly and clear. Input from teenagers was even obtained to ensure that it was appealing to the younger generations.

Now, the City is just days away from launching its new website. It is expected that the City will launch its new website May 1, 2020. So, don’t be surprised if you see a fresher and more tech-savvy Bunnell website soon.
