In the Public Works Department it is our belief that in order to perform at paramount efficiency daily we must define our Mission within the community and state the Values to which we hold.

Bunnell Public Work’s Mission is what we do and how we perform, while our Values define us as individuals as well as an organization to help us successfully complete our Mission.

Our department’s Mission is to provide an exceptional, cost-efficient and professional service to all our citizens. In providing such service, we hold the following Values:

Jim Hatfield has been with the City of Bunnell since March 2009. When he began his career with the City, he was hired as the Assistant Director for the Public Works Department. Shortly after, he was appointed as the Interim Director and by June 2009 he was promoted to the Director of Public Works. Prior to becoming a part of our team, he held several positions within government entities such as the City of Ormond Beach where he was an Engineer Inspector for the Building Department, Flagler County as the sole Engineering Inspector, St. Johns County as an Inspector for the Development Department, and Florida Department of Transportation-District 5 as the Contracts and Permit Inspector.
