Commissioner Elbert Tucker, 61, is a lifetime resident of Flagler County, with Bunnell being his hometown, where he grew up on the family farm and ranch. He is a graduate of Bunnell High School, Daytona Beach Junior College, and Mississippi State University. He served two years in the Army as a finance officer, and one year in the Florida National Guard in an air defense artillery unit, finishing his military career as the unit Executive Officer. Elbert is married to the former Pamela Morris, of Bunnell. Together they have five children, three boys, and two girls. They have four grandchildren. Elbert has two daughters from a previous marriage, with four more grandchildren. Elbert and Pam live in the country on the western side of Bunnell, only two miles from where he was raised. Together, they own and operate Elbert Tucker Insurance.
